Hello, creator!

I’m so, so, so excited about this exchange, and I’m so excited to see what you come up with. This is a bit of a monster of a letter, there’s just so much I love about this upcoming season. I hope it gives you some guidance. Thank you for your time!

GENERAL 

Spooky/Seasonal tag: I’m into horror (psychological over gore, but good gore can certainly amplify the former), supernatural, cartoonish spookiness, urban fantasy, apple orchards, rainy months heading into winter, seasonal baking, dress-up, normal humans loving Halloween and all things spooky, normal humans being underwhelmed by totally bogus commercialized holidays, harmless teenage nonsense, Heathers-level teenage nonsense.

Most of these have some degree of the theme baked into the canon, except for maybe RDR2 and a few OW ships. Please don’t feel like you need to add more to satisfy my theme request—unless you want to, I’d love campy piling on! I’d also adore, for example, mundane!TAZ Jeremiah and Dylan where they were just dressing up for Halloween and traded Kit-Kats for a kiss.

While writing up my prompts, I felt like I started to get a little one-note at times (vampires and werewolves and ghosts in fall!!!), but if you come from a different Halloween or supernatural tradition (or are just more creative than I am), I’d absolutely love to learn about it. I care a lot more about immersion than a list of expectations being checked off.

• Dylan Mpregis: I really aggressively “haha… unless”ed myself with the Jump Scare freeforms.
  —   “Pregnant and on the run” and “pregnant and trying to hide it from the enemy/monster” were the original tags that embedded this so deeply in my mind.
  —   Basically the build-up to canon, but also he’s pregnant, not that he can say anything to anyone, because he’s a Blackwell(/his twin sister’s fiance).
  —   Pre-canon where Jeremiah and Dylan are disgustingly Young and In Love and Gonna Do Something About It. And I’m not saying breeding kink. But.

• A Live Boy: Still being politically minded, Errol just cannot (and will not!) allow himself to be seduced by the young, traumatized and clearly just rebounding Dylan Mathis. No. Just no. The scandal, it’s far too much. (They do it anyway.)

Amnesty

• What Is a Coolice? Before the big reveal, I had a burgeoning suspicion that Jake was a/the Yeti. The actual reveal was cuter, but what if he was a Yeti? And wouldn’t Bigfoot/Yeti be, like, incest? (No! (Or is it?)) Also I just think their dynamic would be really sweet.

• Hot For Employer: I’ve always been interested in the operations of the Cryptonomica and the fake-spooky side of town, and also the weird in-between Kirby was kept in. How did he feel about the more real experiences he’s almost certainly had? How did he get so loyal to his weird boss with inconsistent stories and no past? Was he in love? Or did he have… other ideas?

• “It’s not sad.” I am so, so, so into class president, QB1, National Honors Society-ass Zeke being hopelessly in love with teenage burnout Duck. And I’m also very interested in watching it all fall apart, because Zeke may be eighteen-in-two-months but he is Ready to set the rest of his life up now, and Duck’s just like… chill. Alternatively it’s the 90s in West Virginia and maybe it wasn’t such a fun place to be fooling around with another guy. But maybe it’d be a bit better now.

Carrie (1976)

I’ve only seen the 1976 movie, but the book or more recent movie would probably work just as well.

• Shower Scene, But Different: Obviously, this is a standout moment the story. I’d also love something that dug deeper into Carrie’s naiveté and the traumas there. Sexually.

• Inevitability: Something where Sue and Carrie were gal pals for longer than the scope of the movie—but however much Sue cares, Carrie still has a lot more going on than having a friend can help, and even if prom doesn’t go down exactly the same, there’s always something around the corner…

Debbie Debbie - Gary Wilson

Pairings: Narrator/Debbie, Narrator/Debbie/Cindy/Linda

• I Wanna Be Free: I’ve been listening to this song so much this end-of-summer, and I keep coming to different conclusions about how Narrator and Debbie’s relationship is fucked up. Did he commit to serving a demon without realizing what that would mean, longterm? Is she a normal human who has him completely under her thumb? Did she give dating a fan a shot, and, god, he just can’t treat her like a person—? Is Narrator being dramatic about her having normal expectations and him not being able to meet them?

• Accidental Harem Owner: Basically above, but how the hell did he find himself in the center of so much attention? Alternatively, just a non/dubcon gangbang.

• Into the Garyverse: Most of Wilson’s discography doesn’t really work for me as recreational listening, there’s definitely a bigger lore to dig into if you feel inclined. Cindy and Linda also have songs dedicated to them (“Cindy,” “Linda Wants To Be Alone,” and “Gary Saw Linda Last Night,” most obviously.) There’s also the matter of Gary as presented through the music being, uh, a bit of a desperate creep!
  — Small town dating, it’s a complete mess
  — Woman Walking Alone Late At Night/Man Who Thinks She's Easy Prey is an OW tag I didn’t end up requesting but does seem fitting here

Get Some - Ghosted 

Pairings: Samantha/Jeff, Samantha/Mean Girls

Prompts

• Boy Meets Wolf: This music video has so much story packed into it and I love it all. Did Samantha lure them out there, knowing she could strike back/also pick herself up a new underling boyfriend? Did she pull an Every Werewolf at Some Point and forget where in the cycle she was at?

• Samantha’s Meaner: My id feels exposed between this, Carrie, and Gary. Basically the same deal; Meal Girls take advantage, Samantha gets her revenge.

• Get Some: Also, the song is great. Let Samantha get laid at some shitty party at someone she barely knows’ house, no strings attached.

Midsommar

Pairings: Dani Ardor/Pelle

Prompts

• To Be Held: Dani getting acclimated in her new home with Pelle. Dani and Pelle luring people back the Harga, possibly with threesomes. Dani and the other women of the commune learning how else you can communicate without language. 

• Diversifying the Bloodline: Maybe something with their children down the line; I found the bear lesson one of the most chilling moments of the movie, and I think indoctrinating children when Dani knows what else is out there would have even more of a punch. 

• I LOVED THIS MOVIE SO MUCH. Just anything building off of it, I’d adore. Anything. How things look when it’s not Super Special Ceremonial Sacrifice years. I ran out of noms but I’d also accept an OC cast being thrown into all this.

Original Work

The tagset was so good, I had such a hard time narrowing down to twenty requests. I’ve added some notes about where my mind was or some related dynamics, but please don’t think they’re mandatory.

  — Maybe it’s a Hogwarts-esque school where hazardous environments are kept super close to children for reasons. Or the school’s been haunted for years and it’s about time they found proof. Or Taylor’s brother brought some shrooms when he visited and ohhh boy. Not picky about gender makeup, gen or shippy

  — They had Plans for a scary movie, or haunted corn mazes, or Spooktober at the local amusement park, but there goes that.
  — Some Genuinely Scary Shit starts going down but like fuck is Older Brother going to let anything happen to anyone.

  — Love the concept of doting, obsessive, protective, come-to-the-dark-side-we-have-cookies Demon Brother/really trying very hard to leave that side of the family behind, thanks, Half-Brother

  — Teenager is the one good thing the middle of this, and like fuck is Soldier going to let anything happen to him, even if their whole thing makes him feel so, so guilty. Apocalypse DNW waived

  — Because egging his Algebra II teacher’s house isn’t that big of a deal, right?

• Brotherly Love: I shipped Alex/Daniel pretty much immediately, and I’d love love love to see their relationship develop: how Alex got more fucked up while Daniel convinced himself he was worse, Alex getting out while Daniel bought in, the guilt Daniel absolutely felt for caring so much for his little brother, more than he should.

• Charity Case: I’m so interested in how this relationship came to be. Did he initially see her as a way out? Figure he had to marry somebody, so it might as well be someone as vile as her (I say, fondly)? Did he think that it might keep the hide and seek away from Alex and that girl he’s absolutely going to marry?

Red Dead Redemption

• The Gang as Pack/Coven/Group of Supernatural Beings of Your Choice: I loved the cult-ish vibes that the gang gave off, right up until things started to fall apart, and I think it’d work really well with
  —   Dutch and Hosea were just Lestat-and-Louising it up until they found Arthur, and Dutch just had to turn him. And Miss Grimshaw. And—listen, it’s working out for them, isn’t it?
  —   Van de Lindes vs. O’Driscolls = werewolves vs. vampires (or vice versa, or whatever else)
  —   The slash requests are each other’s True Mates (and if it’s Dutch/Arthur, surely Dutch isn’t super manipulative about it! He’d never!!!)

• The Road AU: Yes, the Cormac McCarthy one (or, well, I haven’t seen the movie, but I imagine it’d work just fine as a source as well.) The idea of John and Jack as the father and son jumped in my head recently, and now I want it. Apocalypse DNW does not apply, but child death DNW still does.

• The Vampire of St. Denis and other such canon oddities. Feel free to expand upon what’s already there or build your own for them to stumble upon.

• Monster Hunting as Bounty Hunting: It’s an honest way to earn some money… or is it?
  —  Someone gets changed, and it challenges some preconceived notions. Or maybe it doesn’t matter that they’re still them, and now they have to run.
  —  No one gets changed, but the hunter’s conscious gets more and more unsure about what he’s doing.

Sharp Objects (TV)

Pairings: Amma Crellin/Marian Crellin/Camille Preaker, Amma Crellin/Natalie Keene, John Keene/Natalie Keene, Marian Crellin & Camille Preaker, Marian Crellin/Camille Preaker, Amma Crellin/Camille Preaker

DNW clarifications: I'm fine with either Amma and Marian getting aged up or fade to black for any sex scenes, or nothing more intense than making out happening. Child death DNW waived for canonical deaths.

• Sibling Rivalry: I’m so interested in what the dynamics would look like if Marian lived longer. Would Amma be possessive of Camille’s attention, or Marian’s (and does her first victim end up being from inside the house?)? Are both Amma and Marian still golden daughters, or is one kicked to the outside with Camille?

• Guilty But Not Like That: Ah, the Keenes—I have never met a dangled incest that I didn’t want canon. And maybe Amma found out about it, or tricked it out of Natalie, and had some fun before she got sick of her.

• Sister, Sister: These prompts feel so vague, but the show left me so curious about what’s going on these character’s heads. We only got to see glimpses of Marian and Camille, and I’ve love to see more of the original softness Camille was projecting onto Amma.
