Given the nature of the canon, it feels weird to say that Blake and Schofield’s interactions were sweet, but… they were? I think part of why 1917 worked as well as it did was because of those moments where you could exhale, and I’d love to see how a relationship between the two of them may have fit into those moments pre-canon.

The “age before beauty” really killed me; Schofield was so aware of Blake’s relative youth and naivete, even through his bravery and bullheadedness, and I’d love to see that explored more, too.

Post-canon would also be really interesting, either canon-compliant PAIN or them maybe trying to adjust to something back in the real world. Infidelity or the two requested characters being single/them getting together are both welcome. Happy poly is not. Please don’t villainize Mrs. Schofield either way.

TBH, this is a bad movie and no one should see it, but I am like a pig on truffles when it comes to deeply fucked up slash, and the entire time I was going through the tagset, the devil on my shoulder was like, “Hey, you know what ship this tag would be perfect for? What better place than here? What better time than now?”

If you haven’t seen it—and I am painfully jealous you have those two precious hours of life unspent—all that needs to be known is that Charlie Hunnam as Ray is the very neat, germaphobic right hand man of ~classy weed man Mickey, and Tom Rhys Harries as Noel is a twink Ray had to rough up once to extract his aristocratic roommate/girlfriend? from their council housing dope den. Ray also notes that Noel isn’t opposed to sucking some dick for drug money and lethally accidents his friend “Aslan” out a window.

— Maybe Ray finds out how Noel gets his fun money not strictly at a distance and maybe not strictly before Mickey sets him on the case

Basically, I’d like The Lighthouse: The Loghouse; this movie was such a miserable, twisted, desperately horny ride, and I’d love to see the same thing happening up in Hudson Bay, or at least parts of it. What drove Tommy north? Did he try as hard to start on the right foot? Did Original Winslow try as hard to tear him down? Did the tension between them have a weird, intense sexual edge right up until the end? I feel like we know the answer to those last three.

I don’t usually like dealing with religion head-on, but if you wanted to do something with Catholicism and Tommy’s desperate urge to confess and him getting all sexily torn up a la St. Seb, I would be deeply unopposed.
