Hello, creator!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make something for me. Incest is one of my top favorite tropes, I can never get enough of it, so I’m automatically already excited to see what you come up with.
In general, what I like from incest ships is the intense emotional side of things between the two characters: All-consuming loyalty, desperation, knowing they shouldn't but doing it anyway, the general undercurrent of wrongness that penetrates everything. So while I am about to try and list some plot likes, realistically it's all a big shrug, outside wanting to Feel something.
General plotty likes:
— Jealousy, obsessive/possessive behavior, codependency
- I love love love siblings being aggressively weird about each other and not being able to help themselves (or not wanting to help themselves). Barreling past boundaries without a care, no lines that go uncrossed, overinvestment in Sibling’s life—they’re just protective, okay?
— Relationship messiness
- I adore stories that delve into difficult patches in relationships, hurt feelings, worn-thin patience, break-ups, make-ups, back off again, the end for real. Especially for this exchange, I’m also very interested in the balance of intimacy and closeness between the two characters before sex enters the picture. Is there a long train of UST behind them? Is it impulsive fluke (or ten)? Are they trying to make up for something?
- Pining, secrecy, weaseling, lying, sneaking around, anything to draw out the inevitable—and also the consequences of said lying.
— Physical or social isolation/insularity of a group
- Boarding schools, secluded campuses, camps, cults, teams, snowed in hotels, locked in the attic by your grandmother, and so on. I like spaceships a little bit less, but mostly because I'm not super into sci-fi. If writing a Moon Hotel or whatever makes you happy, though, go for it!
- I’m also really into how this affects and molds behavior, and that can be particularly stark within a family.
General smutty likes: assplay • begging • bruising or biting • casual sex • come marking • dirty talk • drugged sex • drunk or high sex • dubious consent • edging • embarrassment • finger sucking • first times • hands • informal D/s • manhandling • manipulation • mouth kink • multiple orgasms • nipple play • oral sex • over the clothes • overstimulation • possessiveness • power imbalances • rough sex • size differences • somnophilia
Art likes: oversaturation, contrast, color blocking; tender moments (fingers brushing, kissing, holding hands, intense eye contact), atmosphere and settings; details and clutter. ex: x | x | x | x
DNW: apocalypse, massive natural disasters, or complete dystopias (isolated incidents fine); incest treated as normal or culturally accepted, intergeneral incest; graphic injury or gore and body horror, sexual injuries*; gender or sex swap; impact play (spanking, caning, etc.); slavery; explicit underage sex (<16); unrequested poly (infidelity for angst factor while still focused on requested pairing fine); experiencing or fighting isms as the main plot
* Along the lines of serious injury, tearing, bleeding, etc. Face slapping, manhandling, brief choking, fights for control, initial discomfort and other less serious forms are all good/encouraged. Plot-related violence or injury is also fine
** As in spanking, flogging, caning and other forms of ritualized, repetitive hitting. The above exceptions still apply!
His Face All Red (Webcomic)
Pairings: Narrator/His Brother
I love the restraint Carroll has in her work, but at the same time I’ve never read a story of hers without wanting to grab it by its metaphorical ankles, turn it upside down, and start shaking until every possible penny falls out.
Why do they look so different (is the older maybe slightly not completely human)? What was their childhood like? Why do they live so close, but the younger’s prospects are so nonexistent? Was That Night the first time the younger brother’s resentment had come to the surface? Did the older brother ever have any clue, was he preparing for something (the holes??)? What the fuck is going on?????
Obviously, you don’t need to answer all or most or even any of these questions; just give me some brother incest and something to do with mysteries established in this comic and I’ll be so, so thrilled.
Surfing RPF
Pairings: John Florence/Nathan Florence
Admittedly, if you’d asked me anything about surfing more than two or three weeks ago, it would have been a big shrug, but for some reason, I’ve been feeling particularly claustrophobic this summer, and surfing has become the subject of my most recent eric_andre_let_me_in.jpg @ insular community fixation.
Everything about John John (back-to-back world champion! Artsy! Reclusive in the face of fame!) and Nate (his brother’s brother, but also incredibly talented and charming in his own right, and also endlessly hyping John up) dynamic is catnip to me. What do the good times look like? The bad times? The scary times (because, you know, surfing! Letting waves the size of buildings throw you around! (Maybe some hurt/comfort after one of them wiped out (or, hell, both of them, stuck inside while everyone else is chasing waves…)))?
And then there’s how wild their early life was with traveling all over the place, the relative insecurity, John having to step up so young and then blowing up within the surfing world so young… all I’m saying is that it seems like the perfect environment for two people to turn tight into each other.
I’d also just be down for some scenery porn with John and Nate just being able to chill out together. I love really just getting into a setting and how characters interact with it, and small town surfers seems like the perfect combo to really get into that.
Also: Pirates AU! Point Break AU! Lord of Dogtown AU!
(Even if you have absolutely no intention of writing/drawing anything about these dudes, I highly recommend checking out John's youtube channel if you just want to look at something pretty in five to twenty minute long.)
Original Work
Alpha Werewolf/His Omega Younger Brother
I love super tropey, super biologically incorrect werewolf pack dynamics. Maybe the omega fights or resents his position within the pack, but at the end of the day, he still feels safest with his brother watching out for him, and it’s not like the alpha can trust anyone else to watch out for his brother…
Favorite Son of Mob Boss/Unknown Estranged Son Being Recruited Back Into The Family
Surprise incest is so, so good for me. Maybe the Favorite had this inexplicable bond with Unknown and is bent on making sure he’s taken care of, maybe Unknown knows something and is working his way, only to realize that Favorite isn’t half-bad, despite the shit his family pulls in this city.
Or maybe they know, they’re mad, and they’re going to Do Something About It.
Male Character/Emotionally Distant Older Brother He Idolizes || Man/His Younger Half-Brother Who He's Trying To Reconnect With
There’s something I find super iddy about characters not being at the same place emotionally, especially when they feel like they should be and are desperate to fix things. What drove these two apart? Why are they coming back together now? Exactly how much is fucking not solving any of their problems?
Outlaw/His Brother
Is the brother also an outlaw? The town doctor who swears this is the last time he’s pulling a bullet out of Outlaw? Sickly and in need of medicine that the farm Maw and Paw left behind just can’t pay for?
Superstar Athlete/His Less Talented Brother || Teen Prodigy/His Deeply Jealous Older Brother
Suuuch a delicious dynamic between people who still love each other deeply. There’s so much time and effort and money that’s sacrificed, and it’s not like Less Talented Brother isn’t proud or doesn’t see how hard Other Brother works, but the jealousy monster is a bottomless pit, and it’s not like Talented Brother doesn’t know about those sacrifices, or how differently they’re treated…
Teen Male Prankster/Male Cop Brother Who May Be Convinced To Not Tell Their Parents About This
Opposites who come from the same space are always hilarious—especially in the ways they’re still the same. Prankster knows how to argue his case, and Brother is perhaps not that bound to the letter of the law.
Feel free to demote “cop” to “prefect” or “fantasy town watchman” or “generally prone to narc behavior” or whatever else floats your boat.
